ABOUT THE STOUGHTON CINEMA CAFE

For over 30 years, the Cinema Cafe has served Stoughton, the Dane County area and beyond. We originally opened as a one-screen, dine-in theater in the building now housing the Stoughton Village Players Theater. Since then, the area community has welcomed us with open arms, and we were able to expand and move to our current location. Many members of the community have not only been loyal customers, but have become our friends as well.

Over the years, not only did we raise our daughter here, but we’ve also had the opportunity to employ and work alongside some frankly fantastic people that we truly consider to be our second family. We’ve watched many of them grow up, build families, and go after their dreams. They will always be in our hearts and on our minds.

So with the strong bonds and friendships we’ve formed over the last three decades, it’s with heavy hearts that we must announce we will not be able to reopen our doors. We’ve thought long and hard, and while we’d have loved to continue serving the community, the unexpected shutdown and delay in film releases is not something we will be able to recover from.

Thank you so much to the customers, friends, family and employees who’ve made it possible for us to serve Stoughton and southern Wisconsin for the last 30 years.
